Not only a popular surfing spot of Bali that attracts surfers from all over the world, Suluban Beach in Uluwatu has also a stunning beauty. Surrounded by huge cliffs and characterized by beautiful rock formations all over it, Suluban Beach is a secluded one, and compared to other beaches in Bali, is relatively harder to access.
Suluban Beach is a non-public beach due to its location and can only be accessed through a narrow stairway packed between huge limestone rocks. Another name for this beach is “Blue Point Beach”. This is probably due to colorful ocean view seen from the top of the cliff surrounding the Suluban beach.
Famous Bali beaches has a problem in common: Crowds. By crowds i mean hundreds, thousands of people filling in every spot of the beach. However Suluban Beach is an exception to this. There are only a few people on Suluban Beach, and most of its visitors are pro surfers. Nearby Padang Padang beach is always over crowded (mostly by international tourists). Another nearby beach, the Dreamland Beach on the other hand is crowded like hell (an easy to access popular spot for the locals as well). So if you would like to enjoy the ocean on a quiet yet beautiful beach, or if you are into surfing, this might be the best option for you on the southern part of the island.
